About Us

About Sustainability Swap:

Sustainability Swap seeks to create and foster a regional network of businesses who possess a shared goal of finding and providing repurposing solutions for unused industrial materials. Made up of Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation members, our transaction portal helps to not only reduce the amount of industrial waste in area landfills, but also improve efficiency and create cost-saving measures among the regional industrial sector.

Through our free, interactive transaction portal, regional industrial businesses can list unwanted materials, a description of the listing, a photo of the materials and contact information. Fellow users can then browse our database of listings, navigate categories or make specific searches for materials they are seeking.

Businesses interested in acquiring materials listed on Sustain Swap can contact fellow users directly to coordinate transactions. Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation members interested in creating a Sustainability Swap account can click here. Business representatives interested in creating an account with Sustainability Swap must receive administrative approval before utilizing the site.

Please note, Sustainability Swap is not a service used for financial transactions and all materials acquired through Sustainability Swap must be accepted as-is. No hazardous waste can be listed on the website.

Sustainability Swap is made possible through a partnership between the Central Kentucky Community Foundation and the Elizabethtown-Hardin County Industrial Foundation, and through a generous grant from the Dow Company Foundation. We hope that through this online portal, our users can demonstrate that one company’s trash can be another company’s treasure.
